Leo Marcelis has been fascinated by growth and development of horticultural plants ever since he was a child. No wonder he was happy to be appointed as full Professor of Horticulture and Product Physiology at Wageningen University in december 2013.
At this moment a LED revolution has started. LED’s open many new opportunities to control plant growth and quality. By the smart use of LED light a reduction in energy consumption by more than 50% is expected.
